Steve’s take
Universal Orlando used to be the runner-up theme park you went to when you ran out of Disney days. Now? Three parks, one of them brand new (Epic Universe opened 2025), Wizarding World on both sides of CityWalk, the wildest coaster lineup in Florida, and on-property hotels that include Express Pass with your room key. It's not Disney's understudy anymore — for older kids and teens, it's the headliner. Lisa and I have booked Universal trips for Pixie clients since the days when the Hulk coaster's green paint actually flaked off in your lap. This plan respects what makes Universal different: shorter park days, longer coaster lines, more thrill-per-square-foot. Drive in over two days, park days three through five, CityWalk dinner on the last night, drive home Day 7 with kids who suddenly love butterbeer.

Want help locking in Universal Orlando too?
Steve has booked Universal trips since the parks opened and knows which on-property hotels are worth the upgrade. Pixie agents are free to use (the resort/cruise line pays our commission, not you), watch for price drops you’d otherwise miss, and pull room locations the booking sites don’t show. Disney/Universal/cruise prices climb the closer you get — booking early gets you the best rate and pick.
